2020 Volvo XC60 Polestar Review
2020 Volvo XC60 Polestar Review by TestDriveNow Auto Critic Steve Hammes. Before Polestar became its own electric performance car brand it was Volvo’s hot rod shop, adding some Swedish zip to select models. But the name still lives on in the new 60 series models – referred to as Polestar engineered with a go faster persona.
Can you get a 250 horse, front-drive XC60 for about $42,000? Yes. But if you want the most robust XC60 experience, this all-wheel drive, plug-in hybrid Polestar Engineered with a couple of options stickers for $30,000 more. MSRP as-tested: $73,490 https://testdrivenow.com/2020-volvo-xc60-polestar/
2020 Toyota 4Runner Limited
As part of Toyota’s carefully curated Dinosaur collection which includes Land Cruiser, Tundra, Sequoia and this 4Runner body-on-frame ruggedness proudly lives on without too much interference from today’s world. With the transition to unibody, all-wheel drive SUVs vehicles like the 4Runner have mostly gone by the wayside. So it’s nice to see that it’s still going strong for those who want to go farther. It is no doubt off-road worthy. https://testdrivenow.com/2020-toyota-4runner-limited/
MSRP as-tested: $52,070
2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban First Look
Earlier this decade, pundits predicted that a gallon of gas would cost more than $5 a gallon by now. Well, they were wrong. Really wrong. And so the SUVs which were declared dead and almost buried have experienced a boon like never before. Case in point the all-new 2021 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. https://testdrivenow.com/2021-chevrolet-tahoe-and-suburban/
2020 VOLVO XC40 QUICK TAKES
The new XC40 represents Volvo’s third SUV and is focused on a new expression of Scandinavian design. The XC40 is the smallest SUV offered by Volvo, preceded by Volvo’s largest SUV, the XC90, which is the most awarded luxury SUV of the century. With the introduction of the XC40, Volvo completes its SUV range and offers three of the newest vehicles in their respective segments.
Award winning technology from the 90 and 60 series cars are standard in the XC40, including safety innovations rarely offered among competitors. The Volvo XC40 will be among the safest, well-equipped compact SUVs available.
The new XC40 is the first model on Volvo Cars’ new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), which will underpin all 40 Series cars including fully electrified vehicles.
2019 Lexus LS 500h Review
When shopping for an executive sedan I understand the desire to eschew the German triumvirate for something a little different, perhaps something with its own unique Japanese flair. Well, that’s the Lexus LS; recently redesigned and still available in hybrid form.
MSRP as-tested: $107,355
