TOYOTA AVALON TRD 2020 QUICK TAKES
The Avalon TRD model is designed to stand apart with striking aero elements, edgier design and aggressive stance. Red pinstriping, red-painted brake calipers, and red TRD badging complete the road-hungry look. The Avalon TRD is available in Supersonic Red, Windchill Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic. Its cabin features Black Sport SofTex-trimmed heated front seats with Ultra-suede inserts and red accents. Every TRD edition vehicle is also committed to authentic performance improvement. Powered by Toyota’s renowned 301 horsepower DOHC 3.5-liter V6 engine teamed to an 8-speed automatic transmission with sport mode and paddle shifters. The V6 exhales through a specially tuned TRD cat-back dual exhaust, giving both models a throatier idle and acceleration sound. Now, TRD is challenging established sports sedans with the 2020 Camry and Avalon TRD models.

ALL-NEW 2022 SUBARU BRZ MAKES GLOBAL DEBUT

ALL-NEW 2022 SUBARU BRZ MAKES GLOBAL DEBUT. The all-new, rear-wheel drive 2022 Subaru BRZ sports car made its Global Debut today at the Thermal Club Raceway in Thermal, CA. Subaru developed the all-new BRZ with the same fundamentals of sports car design that it used to create the original: low vehicle weight, an ultra-low center of gravity with precision steering and handling in an affordable 2+2 package. But for the 2022 model year, the BRZ features more power, better handling, improved styling, a 50-percent increase in torsional stiffness and a modern interior. A pure sports car with Subaru DNA.

Running counter to the current trend of power over precision, the 2022 Subaru BRZ focuses on simplicity and fun. Designed to deliver an unmatched driving experience, the all-new BRZ features a new and more powerful 228 horsepower 2.4-liter horizontally opposed engine. Sitting low in the chassis, the Subaru BOXER’s unique design allows the BRZ to achieve a Center of Gravity (CoG) even lower than the previous BRZ and on par with exotic hyper-cars. The ultra-low CoG is critical to delivering unrivaled handling, with a low polar moment and quick reaction to driver inputs. The 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine redlines at 7,000 RPM and delivers a 15-percent increase in torque. The 2022 BRZ will be offered in both Premium and Limited trims and is available with two transmission choices; a standard six-speed manual or an available six-speed automatic with a new Sport mode designed for more aggressive driving. The new Sport mode allows for more rapid downshifts with automatic throttle blipping and utilizes yaw sensors to hold the transmission in a lower gear during hard cornering to maximize performance.

2020 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium

2020 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium Review By Auto Critic Steve Hammes.
What’d you do if you’re a car company that wants to resurrect a dormant sports car nameplate but you no longer build fast cars? One option is to outsource the job to an expert. This is the all-new, BMW-infused 2020 Supra.
I mean this car looks like it just jumped off of a teenager’s sketch pad…and I mean that as a compliment.  Its slick, almost cartoonish appearance is the sports car we imagined designing when we were kids and the hat tip to Supras of the past found in the deatils is very cool.  But after that, Toyota’s involvement here is murky at best.  And you know what?  The Supra is so good I don’t really care.  For about $56,000 Toyota is selling a fully stocked 2-seater that’ll leave you longing for another backroad blast.
