2017 GMC Canyon Denali FIRST LOOK
2017 GMC Canyon Denali FIRST LOOK by Auto Critic Steve Hammes
Perusing the GMC lineup of trucks, SUVs and crossovers, your attention is immediately captured by the pinnacle of the brand’s Professional Grade mantra – the Denali range.
All but their vans can be specified with this premium package, the latest of which is this new 2017 Canyon Denali, the brand’s midsize pickup. In this reinvigorated truck segment, the Canyon is a premium offering and now takes it up another notch with the Denali treatment.
GMC’s tried and true formula is applied here with a Denali-specific chrome grille and 20” ultra-bright wheels with painted accents. Other exterior cues include chrome fog lamp bezels, chrome assist steps, a polished exhaust tip and a spray-in bed liner.
Inside the Jet Black interior features specific leather seating, heated and cooled front seats, and unique instrument panel and console trim. Additionally, a high level of standard content includes a heated steering wheel, auto climate control, remote start and GM’s pantry of cutting edge tech.
The Canyon Denali is available in the crew cab bodystyle, in 2- or 4-wheel drive with either the gas V6 or the new for 2016 Duramax diesel.
