2020 Land Rover Defender FIRST LOOK
When the Defender’s 67-year production run ended in 2016, it had already been nearly 2 decades since one could be found in a U.S. Land Rover dealership. The 1997 Defender 90 with its 4.0-liter V8, 4-speed auto and 13mpg was a British-born Jeep rival. But since, Land Rover’s SUV lineup has trended more towards afternoon tea and less to morning fox hunts. The Defender’s much anticipated return is about ready to recapture some of the original’s raw ruggedness with modern day accoutrements. Going on sale next Spring, the 2020 Defender 110 will sticker from near $50,000 slotting it pricewise above the entry-level Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque.

CHEVROLET INTRODUCES FIRST-EVER MID-ENGINE CORVETTE
Today, Chevrolet fulfills the long-term promise of the iconic Corvette with the introduction of the 2020 Stingray, the brand’s first-ever production mid-engine Corvette. The sum of everything that came before it, the 2020 Stingray is re-imagined to bring customers new levels of performance, technology, craftsmanship and luxury.
From front- to mid-engine, in under three seconds
“Corvette has always represented the pinnacle of innovation and boundary-pushing at GM. The traditional front-engine vehicle reached its limits of performance, necessitating the new layout,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “In terms of comfort and fun, it still looks and feels like a Corvette, but drives better than any vehicle in Corvette history. Customers are going to be thrilled with our focus on details and performance across the board.”

At the car’s front, a newly created and unique “dynamic” grille allows the car’s frontal area to transform its appearance. When stationary, each of the 108-individual diamond-shaped carbon fibre pieces remain flush with the car’s beautiful formed exterior. However, upon start-up DBS GT Zagato will appear to flutter into life, as each piece opens to allow the car’s twin-turbo V12 to breathe.
