2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
As the time nears for an all-new Corvette, the anticipation of the final design reaches a frenzied crescendo from sports car lovers the world over. But the wait is now over. This is the 2014 Stingray…a name that hasn’t graceda Corvette in decades. And with itsexclusivity comes lofty advancements. This Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard model ever with 450horsepower and 450 pound feet of torque.
It is also the most capable standard model ever, able to accelerate from0-to-60mph in less than 4-seconds and achieve more than 1g in cornering grip. On top of that, it’s expected to be the most fuel-efficient Corvette exceeding the 26mpg of the current
model. Sharing only 2 parts with the previous generation car, the 2014 Stingray is indeed all-new, including a
small-block 6.2-liter V8 mated to either a 6-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission or an industry exclusive 7-speed manual with Active RevMatching. A track-capable Z51 Performance Package pushes the Corvette’s capabilities to an even higher
level. Chevy says the new Corvette is really three cars in one – a long distance GT car, a daily driver and a capable
track performer. The interior has been totally reengineered to include cutting edge, high-end features from seat
choices to advanced electronic displays and conveniences. The 2014 Corvette Stingray continues to be
built at GM’s Bowling Green, Kentucky plant.
