2014 Kia Soul
The Soul’s second act begins now. Kia’s funky, box-styled urban passenger vehicle is all-new for 2014 bringing many of the features we loved from the Track’ster concept unveiled last year. Focused on 3 primary areas – maintaining iconic design while adding modern cues, providing premium features and content, and improving driving dynamics – the design team at Kia’s California studio had a sizeable task. Riding on a new chassis that is stiffer, longer and wider the new 2014 model is still instantly recognizable as a Soul yet vastly improves the driving experience. Revised front and rear suspension setups along with a quieter cabin mean the new Soul is not only sportier to drive but also more comfortable. The optional Flex Steer system also allows the driver to choose 1 of three distinct steering settings. Available in 3 trim levels – Base, Plus and Exclaim – 2 engines are offered: a 130-horsepower, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder or a more powerful 2.0-liter mill now rated at 164 horsepower. 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available. High-end, modern connectivity electronics have also been integrated including an 8” touch screen powered by the next gen UVO eServices bringing a flood of information and entertainment inside the cabin.
