Audi considers the A7 as the styling and performance pacesetter for their 4-door models. And for 2016, the midsize sedan with elegant coupe lines receives a number of changes in-step with its more traditionally styled A6 sibling.

This here is the sporty, mid-trim model known as the S7. Powered by a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8, the S7’s energy is now even more potent, with 450 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque to be routed through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to all 4 wheels. Enthusiasts should note that the optional sport rear differential with side-to-side power distribution has also had its software upgraded to provide higher levels of responsiveness and better agility. 0-to-60mph takes only 4.5 seconds. Mileage is rated at 17mpg city/27mpg highway.

And for those who want an edgier sound, the optional sport exhaust system now includes black tailpipes. Other visual changes include a new design for the LED headlights, Singleframe grille and bumpers. Inside, the next generation of Audi’s MMI multimedia system now includes a 4G LTE data connection with in-car Wi-Fi and incorporates Apple Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users to talk to their devices. Pricing for the 2016 Audi S7 starts at $83,825 including destination.
