2015 Audi A3 – First Look

The all-new 2015 Audi A3 introduces a new body style for Audi’s smallest car – a traditional 4-door sedan.  Introducing a host of firsts to the burgeoning premium compact segment, including MMI technology, Audi drive select, 4G LTE connectivity and Bang & Olufsen audio the A3 Sedan is priced from around $30,000.  But the news that gets hearts thumping is the first-time addition of a performance S3 model, powered by a high output, turbocharged direct-injection version of Audi’s 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 300 horsepower and 280 foot pounds of torque.  Paired with a 6-speed S tronic automatic, acceleration is brisk, taking only 5-seconds to reach 60mph yet fuel efficiency isn’t neglected, returning an estimated 34mpg.  Equipped with Quattro all-wheel drive and progressive steering, the S3 sedan receives a lowered suspension and large brakes mounted behind 18” wheels.  19” wheels are available in conjunction with Audi magnetic ride.  In addition to the stunning S3 Sedan, the A3 lineup will continue to expand with the arrival of the A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI and the A3 Sportback e-tron hybrid.
