2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC Wagon
2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC Wagon – Video Review:
Practical, sporty and attractive Mercedes’ SUV-alternative is one of my personal favorites. This is the 2014 E-Class Wagon.
Whoever said the station wagon is dead certainly hasn’t driven this hidden gem. And though it’s offered in a lusty AMG flavor my time this week is spent with the E350 4Matic motivated by its 302 horsepower V6 and 7-speed automatic… quick enough to facilitate a 0-to-60mph time of 6.6-seconds and at the same time return a respectable 19mpg city/26mpg highway. Extensively updated for 2014, the E-Class is now available with two different front-end designs – this one flaunting the two-bar grille with integrated Star courtesy of the no-cost option Sport Styling Package. Another attribute of this package is a lowered, sportier suspension setup underpinned by the confidence of the all-wheel drive system, here fitted with winter rubber wrapped around optional 18” AMG wheels. Comfort and sport driving modes are selectable while an Eco mode shuts down the engine at a stop which restarts as soon as you lift your foot. Safety? The optional Driver and Parking Assist Packages bundle a host of S-Class-level camera- and radar-based systems to put your mind at ease. Versatility is where it’s at in the E350 and this midsize wagon will happily seat 7 or expand to engulf over 57 cubic feet of cargo. Starting price is $59,525 while mine comes extremely well-equipped for $72,750.
