2015 Lincoln Navigator – First Look
When the Lincoln Navigator entered the large SUV segment in the late 90’s it created quite a stir, with its popularity spanning a wide demographic. Flash ahead to the 2015 model year and Lincoln has given the Navigator’s loyal customers what they’ve been asking for; a redesigned exterior, updated interior, more powerful engine and new luxurious appointments. Replacing the V8 is a new 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 projected to deliver at least 370 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque with anticipated best-in-class towing. Transmitting that power to either the rear or all 4 wheels is a 6-speed automatic transmission. The addition of electric power-assisted steering and Lincoln’s Continuously Controlled Damping suspension makes for a Navigator that is engineered to the best-handling, smoothest riding ever. Still available in regular and long wheelbase versions, the Navigator can seat up to 8 with fold flat third row seats. An all-new Reserve Package ratchets up the luxury even further, providing 22” wheels, ultra-luxurious leather and premium wood trim.
