2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO FIRST LOOK
2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO FIRST LOOK
The Nissan 370Z’s evil brother is the 370Z NISMO – the more aggressively styled, racier version from Nissan’s high-performance division. And big changes greet this 2-seat coupe for 2015. For the first time in a Z NISMO model, a 7-speed automatic transmission is offered to the standard 6-speed manual. It features Downshift Rev Matching for stick shift-like, expert-quick gear changes, driver-selectable modes, and manual shifting with paddle shifters. It adds $1,300 to the cost. A new 370Z NISMO Tech model is also added for greater touring capability. Priced from $46,315, the Tech adds a Bose 6-speaker audio system with 2 subwoofers and a touchscreen navi. Redesigned Recaro racing seats are specific to this NISMO and aim to provide better body holding – power on the driver’s side and manual adjustments for the passenger. The body has also been reworked with GT-R-inspired aerodynamic body panels and a smaller rear spoiler. LED Daytime Running Lights with black bezels give this Z further distinction and new design 19” RAYS wheels debut for 2015. Power still stems from Nissan’s ubiquitous 3.7-liter V6, rated at 350 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque. The power bump comes courtesy of an H-configured exhaust system, muffler tuning and specific Engine Control Module calibration. Specific NISMO tuning for the suspension, brakes, gearing and standard limited-slip differential blur the lines between street and track. Pricing starts at $42,815.
