2015 Chevrolet Trax – First Look
2015 Chevrolet Trax – First Look:
Small SUVs; they’re super-hot these days and Chevy has a slot to be filled below the Equinox. Meet the 2015 Trax. Launched as a 2013 model in the rest of North America, the Trax now makes it stateside after debuting as 1 of a trio of small Chevy concept vehicles back in 2007. Blending small-car agility with the utility of an SUV, the Trax offers up to 48 cubic feet of cargo space and available all-wheel drive. Powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine generating 138 horsepower and paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the Trax has been geared to achieve robust acceleration as well as fuel efficiency and lower engine noise at highway cruising speeds. It’s also built on a global platform that has been tuned to deliver a refined driving experience. Knowing that young car buyers are the primary target, the Trax goes all in on technology with available OnStar 4G LTE and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. It’s also the first vehicle in its class to offer Siri Eyes Free for iPhone. Trax is offered in LS, LT and LTZ trims and comes with standard features such as remote keyless entry, a rearview camera and 10 airbags.
