2015 Acura TLX First Look
Amalgamating the compact TSX and midsize TL, Acura debuts the all-new 2015 TLX – a front or all-wheel drive, 4 or 6-cylinder powered compact sports sedan with premium luxury refinement. Infused with new powertrains, buyers can choose from either a 206-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission or a 3.5-liter V6 making 290 horsepower paired to a 9-speed automatic. To add to the handling prowess, all 2-wheel dive TLX models come standard with Precision All-Wheel Steer which independently controls the toe angle of the rear wheels while 4-wheel drive models benefit from an updated version of Super Handling All-Wheel Drive with a greater torque-vectoring effect. And all TLX cars feature Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System allowing for customization of the driving experience through ECON, Normal, Sport and Sport +. Built upon an all-new platform, engineers specifically targeted open air paths in the body to significantly reduce wind, road and engine noise leading to a quieter cabin. The five passenger interior aspires to be a Red Carpet Athlete, with a high degree of luxury comfort and technology. It features Acura’s cloud-based connected car system with a broad range of connectivity, an optional 10-speaker Premium Audio System tuned specifically for the TLX and a push button gear selector on V6 models. With 7 trim levels offered, base price is $31,890 and rises to $45,595 for a range-topping model.
