When Toyota introduced the TRD Pro Series version of their 4Runner last year, it gave shoppers the option of an even more potent off-roader, highlighted by the judicious use of Toyota Racing Development parts such as front springs, Bilstein high-performance shocks, Nitto Terra Grappler tires and a front skid plate. Priced from $42,450, the 2016 4Runner TRD Pro is available in an exclusive new color; Quicksand which replaces Inferno.

2016 Toyota 4RunnerThe rest of the 2016 4Runner lineup – ranging from the base SR5 to the off-road uprated Trail model to the range-topping Limited – receive upgraded Entune 2.5 multimedia systems including Siri Eyes Free mode.  Entune is a collection of mobile apps and data services which work in conjunction with a connected smartphone.  The 4Runner’s 30+ year history of body-on-frame SUV ruggedness is now complimented by everyday comfort and versatility with available 3-row seating for up to 7. Powered by a 270-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 and 5-speed auto capable of towing 5,000 pounds, the 4Runner can be specified in rear-wheel drive, or in part-time or full-time 4-wheel drive with a number of suspension tunes catered to the specific trim level.  Gas mileage for 4-wheel drive models is rated at 17mpg city/21mpg highway.  Pricing starts at $35,785.
