2015 Volkswagen Eos Final Edition FIRST LOOK

2015 Volkswagen Eos Final EditionIt was the summer of 2006 when VW debuted their innovative hardtop convertible known as the Eos, named for the Greek goddess of the dawn. Its built-in power sunroof made it a unique drop-top offering.  But the time has come to see the Eos drive off into the sunset and VW is celebrating with the 2015 Final Edition model.  Replacing the Sport trim, the Eos Final Edition is fitted with a lowered sport-tuned suspension, 18” Vicenza wheels, rear spoiler, Bi-Xenon adaptive headlights, and LED running lights.  Inside, there’s Cornsilk Beige and black two-tone Vienna leather seating with contrast stitching, silver interior trim, a rearview camera and rain sensing wipers.  All Eos models run with VW’s 2.0-liter turbocharged -4 producing 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque.  Driving the front wheels is a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with Sport mode, delivering 22mpg city/30mpg highway on premium gas.  Able to carry 4 adults and their luggage, the Eos opens up in 25 seconds during a mesmerizing dance of 470 components, including a unique sliding glass sunroof which can be tilted and partly or fully opened.  Commemorating the last year of production, the Eos Final Edition stickers for $40,000 including destination.
